Adventure Racing

Adventure Racing is the fastest growing trend in outdoor recreation. It combines different sports like mountain biking, running, kayaking, orienteering, navigating, traversing and climbing. Athletes test their endurance and team working skills for a weekend of fun and hard work in the great outdoors.

Who we are

Ultimate Outdoor Adventures (UOA) provides training to athletes of adventure racing in all disciplines throughout the year with emphasis on Orienteering, Navigational Skills and Techniques. UOA also runs orienteering and adventure races and clinics.

Event

In partnership with Cycling BC and the city of Maple Ridge, we are planning a new and exciting outdoor recreation event: the First Canadian Mountain Bike Orienteering (MBO) Challenge and the West Coast Adventure Race. This two-day event will be held on May 15-16th, 2004 in the beautiful surroundings of Maple Ridge and Mission, BC.

Unique Feature

The unique feature - our OPEN course, creates the opportunity for you to reach not only competitive athletes, but also outdoor minded people, making their first steps in Adventure Racing. We expect many families to discover the thrill of the outdoors, to have fun together and be challenged as a team.

This course will be FREE for children 14 and younger. Isn't this the perfect exposure to juniors - the future fans of the outdoor sports?

Participation and audience

We anticipate  200-300 competitors along with about 500 support team and family members as well as up to 300 participants to try our OPEN course. Many spectators are expected to cheer on the participants as they Start and Finish in the town center of Maple Ridge. All this creates an ideal opportunity to get your product into the hands of your target market.

We have comprehensive marketing plan to draw customers to your product, which covers major media and outdoor sports markets.  It provides a great chance to get some positive exposure.
